Obesity is a term used to describe body weight that is much greater than what is considered healthy.
There are many ways to determine if a person is obese, but experts believe that a person's body mass
index (BMI) is the most accurate measurement of body fat for children and adults. Adults with a BMI
greater than 30 are considered obese. Adults with a BMI between 25 and 29.9 are considered
overweight. There are exceptions. For example, an athlete may have a higher BMI but not be
overweight. Anyone more than 100 pounds overweight is considered morbidly obese.

characterized by a pattern of symptoms that is often worsened by emotional stress. The condition
involves hypersensitivity to pain in the gut, combined with altered bowel habits resulting in diarrhea, constipation, or both.

Migraine is a common type of headache that may occur with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or sensitivity to light. In many people, a throbbing pain is felt only on one side of the head. Some people
who get migraines have warning symptoms, called an aura, before the actual headache begins. An
aura is a group of symptoms, usually vision disturbances, that serve as a warning sign that a bad
headache is coming. Most people, however, do not have such warning signs.

Fibromyalgia

With the advent of new medications and treatment to manage pain, fatigue and sleep disturbances, the outlook for sufferers may improve. Problems arise when the symptoms of fibromyalgia interfere with activities of daily living.
